North Texas SC has announced today the signing of forward Faisu Sangare to an MLS NEXT Pro contract for the 2025 season with a club option for 2026, pending receipt of his P-1 Visa and International Transfer Certificate (ITC).

The Liberian native joins North Texas SC from Buxton Football Club of the National League North in England. He made six appearances with the club and scored his first professional career goal on March 8, 2025. Sangare debuted for Buxton as a substitute in the 86thminute against Curzon Ashton on Feb. 22.

“Faisu is a strong, powerful center forward that holds the ball up well with a good feel for link-up play. He’s aggressive and determined in his play both on the ground and in the air,” North Texas SC head coach John Gall said. “He’s confident in the box, has a tremendous mentality and comes from a footballing background as a youth player at Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League.  He will add something different to the squad that we are looking forward to.”

Before joining Buxton, he also spent time with FC United of Manchester and Oldham Athletic.

A product of the Wolverhampton Wanderers Academy, Sangre developed through the club’s youth system. He made 12 appearances and scored two goals for the U18 team.
