North Texas SC has signed FC Dallas Academy midfielder Caleb Swann to an MLS NEXT Pro professional contract for the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro season.
Swann joined the FC Dallas Academy for the 2022-23 season. Swann has featured for the FC Dallas Academy in MLS NEXT Fest and Flex tournaments and trained with North Texas SC throughout the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro season. Prior to joining North Texas, Swann committed to play Division 1 soccer at the University of Maryland.
With Swann’s signing, nine FC Dallas Academy products have signed MLS NEXT Pro professional contracts with North Texas SC. Daniel Baran, Jaidyn Contreras, Diego Pepi, Alejandro Urzua, Anthony Ramirez, Dylan Lacy, Kaka Scabin and Malachi Molina have all signed their first professional contract with NTSC.
Quick BDS Take
Swann is a very good prospect at the center midfield spot. In the few academy matches I was able to see this past year, he was mostly a #8 on the field. He's a ball-winner and a good possession guy on the field.
He is also a former Dallas Cup winner while with Solar Soccer Club. He won with them back in 2022 before leaving to join the FCD academy squads.
Given his spot on the field, he's added a very crowded mix of players at NTSC (and further up the pipe at FCD). If he can break through at NTSC, don't be shocked to see him added as a Homegrown to FCD down the road.
