FC Dallas vs Querétaro: Lineup notes 📝

FC Dallas begins its run in the 2026 Leagues Cup tonight when they host Liga MX side Queretaro FC.

Lineups are in from both sides. Let’s dive into what Eric Quill’s starting group looks like, who is on the bench, and who we believe will see minutes later on in this one.

What Changed From Last Match

We get a slightly rotated lineup from last weekend’s game in LA. The attack sees Anderson Julio earn his first start of the year, with Joaquin Valiente and Santiago Moreno returning to the lineup.

Clay Holstad earns his first start in a FC Dallas uniform as well.

Who should come off the bench?

With a game this weekend in San Jose against Chivas, followed by a road trip next Wednesday to Mexico, you have to think rotation will be the name of the game in this tournament.

While I would love to see guys like Swann, Sarver, Binyamin and Delgado get minutes in this one, we shouldn’t be shocked to see Musa, Farrington, Kaick and Moore get minutes off the bench in the second half.

Key Question Heading Into Kickoff

Really, how much should we care about this tournament?

I want to care about the Leagues Cup, but I also would rather us stress over the US Open Cup instead.
