FC Dallas secured another home win over the weekend over rivals Sporting Kansas City. Maarten Paes was the hero in the net, while Jesus Ferreira and Alan Velasco continued their early-season scoring ways.
Here is what the latest Power Rankings had to say about the win:

Comment: We can complain about how they don’t regularly thump teams all we want, but ever since head coach Nico Estévez arrived in 2022, Dallas get the job done more often than not. They did just that last weekend to pull out a 2-1 win over Sporting KC. They may not win a title this year, but it seems to be one of the safest bets going that they’ll end up in a decent postseason spot.
Comment: Shoutout VAR for letting Maarten Paes make not one, but two penalty saves. And also for rescuing him from a red card in Dallas' win over SKC.

I’m sure there are others out that project and discuss things like this. Feel free to leave them in the comments below, and I will try to add them next week. I do know some out there are either a week or three behind (US Soccer Players) or are behind a paywall (Soccer by Ives).
