North Texas SC has unveiled its new adidas secondary jersey – “The Gateway Kit” – for the upcoming 2025 MLS NEXT Pro season.
The Gateway kit represents milestones achieved and new beginnings. It becomes a first-of-its-kind design, featuring a star above the North Texas SC crest to symbolize the team’s first-ever MLS NEXT Pro Cup title.
The kit’s name is influenced from the speech by Mansfield Mayor Michael Evans who spoke at the groundbreaking ceremony last December, “the southern gateway for professional soccer in the Metroplex.”

About the kit
North Texas’ newest kit features a primarily white base with blue accents on the three stripes, adidas logo, collar trim, side panels, LH patch, and player names and numbers on the back. Prominently displayed on the back of the jersey is the City of Mansfield logo, the future home of North Texas SC upon its completion in 2026. The Gateway Kit’s color scheme draws inspiration from the City of Mansfield logo, incorporating its signature blue and gold.
Thin gold hoops run across on the front of the jersey, inspired by early editions of the Dallas Burn jersey. The outline of the adidas logo and two side panels are also in gold. UT Southwestern Medical Center serves as the front-of-jersey partner for the Gateway Kit, and the MLS NEXT Pro patch appears on the left sleeve.
Quick BDS Thoughts
Where the FC Dallas kits have been mostly duds in recent years, the North Texas SC kits continue to dominate. From what I've been told, it helps that MLSNP clubs are able to have a little more say than their senior team counterparts on the selection.
I love the fact that this kit takes inspiration and honors some of the early Dallas Burn kits with the thin hoops. Yeah, hoops! They're not dead yet, folks.
Also, this gives us our first look at a Hunt owned team with a star above its creast on a kit. That's pretty cool to see.
