FC Dallas begins its 2025 campaign tonight as they take on rivals, Houston Dynamo.

Both teams have their lineups in, so letโ€™s dive into what we can expect in tonight's Texas Derby.

Quick thoughts

This is our first real look at the lineup with Lucho Acosta and Petar Musa together. The DP duo didn't get any time together on the pitch in preseason play, but let's hope that doesn't stop them from creating some Derby magic tonight. In the attack with them will be Bernard Kamungo and Anderson Julio.

The two midfielders below Acosta in the middle will be Sebastian Lletget and newcomer Ramiro Benetti.

The rebuilt defensive group sees Maarten Paes in goal with Marco Farfan and Shaq Moore on the wings, with newcomer Osaze Urhoghide and Sebastien Ibeagha in the middle.

Who we could see off the bench

On the bench we have Tsiki Ntsabeleng, Lalas Abubakar, Leo Chu, Pedrinho, Logan Farrington, Enzo Newman, Nolan Norris and Michael Collodi.

The five I would antisipate seeing would be Ntsabeleng, Pedrinho, Chu, Farrington and Norris. I would expect guys like Acosta and Ramiro to go around 60 minutes in this one, while Kamungo and Lletget could be more of an 80 minutes run.
