FC Dallas Homegrown defender Nolan Norris has been called up to the United States U-23 men's national team for two friendlies in San Pedro del Pinatar, Spain. The U.S. faces Scotland on Sunday, Nov. 15, and Ukraine on Tuesday, Nov. 17.

The call-up rewards Norris after he has played one of the best seasons of his young career, and a good sign that he will be on the radar for the next Olympic team cycle for 2028.

Norris should be back in Dallas in time for the club’s Round One series in the MLS Cup Playoffs, which will start on Friday, November 20 (the dates and times for FC Dallas’ series have not been announced as of this writing).

U.S. U-23 schedule

The USA will face Scotland on Sunday, Nov. 15, at 3 p.m. local time (9 a.m. ET) and close camp against Ukraine on Tuesday, Nov. 17, at 2 p.m. local time (8 a.m. ET). Both matches will be played at Pinatar Arena.

Norris' 2026 season, by the numbers

Norris has played a career-high 1,842 minutes over 24 appearances this season. He scored his first goal of the year on April 25 against the Seattle Sounders and added a career-high two assists.

He also leads all FC Dallas Homegrowns in minutes, goals and appearances. On a roster that keeps leaning on its academy, that's not a participation trophy.

Climbing the FC Dallas Homegrown list

With 33 career starts, Norris now ranks ninth in FC Dallas Homegrown history, having passed Ricardo Pepi's 28. Passing Pepi on anything at 2026 FC Dallas is a fun sentence to write. Norris did it as a defender, which is the less glamorous route, but it counts the same.

Youth national team history

The Fort Worth native has already represented the U.S. at the U-21, U-20, U-19 and U-15 levels. His biggest stage so far was the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile, where he scored two goals in four appearances.
