The spring weather is coming into focus. Rain has been hitting the DFW Metroplex for the last couple of days, but that won't matter come Saturday as FC Dallas embarks on a busy month that will see them away from home for three out of four games.
Up first in that busy road-heavy month is a team FC Dallas saw in preseason play, Atlanta United.
The Five Stripes are coming off a wild come-from-behind victory last weekend over NYCFC. Atlanta was down 3-1 after 60 minutes before charging back on the heels of their main Designated Players Miguel Almiron and Latte Lath to win 4-3.
Going into Saturday's game in Atlanta, FC Dallas will have a tall task in front of them. FC Dallas manager Eric Quill knows that his club has to limit the big moments in the match against Atlanta United this weekend, or else the large crowd at Mercedes-Benz Stadium could make it a long evening for them.
“In an environment like that, you can’t give them momentum,” said Quill. “Those plays are going to be huge. We have to be sound defensively in order to keep those momentum plays off of the crowd.”
