BDS Notes:
FC Dallas heads deeper into May with a relatively healthy roster, though both Bernard Kamungo and Anderson Julio remain sidelined for at least another week. At this point, the expectation still appears to be that both players will return sometime after next month’s World Cup break. I’ve been told Kamungo will likely be back first, with Julio returning later in the summer.
Saturday also kicks off FC Dallas’ second stretch this season of three games in seven days. With two of those matches coming at home against top Western Conference opponents before next weekend’s trip to San Jose, it feels likely that Eric Quill leans into his strongest available lineup at home in an effort to stack points at Toyota Stadium. Home games in this conference are gold, after all.
Real Salt Lake, meanwhile, enters the weekend managing a few injury concerns of its own. The biggest name to monitor is veteran center back Justen Glad. If he’s unable to go on Saturday night, that would be a significant blow to an RSL defense that has been a bit rocky at times this season.
