BDS Notes:
It has been a long two months away from MLS play for FC Dallas. Tomorrow night, that all changes when FC Dallas hits the field in Portland.
Going into the World Cup break, we had talked a lot about how the club would likely get both Bernard Kamungo and Anderson Julio back from injuries. Both have been removed from the injury report, with Kamungo likely expected to return to the starting lineup tomorrow in Portland.
While there are some positive vibes surrounding their return, there are some new additions to the injury report before we head into a gauntlet of matches in August. Ramiro and Deedson have hit the injury report with knocks picked up during the club’s scrimmages over the last couple of weeks. Only Ramiro ended up on the actual injury report, but I wouldn’t expect Deedson to be in the roster tomorrow.
The biggest question will come down to whether or not Petar Musa will be good to go on Wednesday or not. The Croatian international was given extra time to rest after his World Cup run ended. He only rejoined the club in training late last week, so there is a decent chance he doesn’t start in this game, but could be held out for Saturday’s match in San Diego.
For the Timbers, they have a trio of injuries that they are dealing with heading into tomorrow’s game.
