Three points is three points.

That is something I've always been told in this league is that if you can grind out an ugly win, get the three points, and move on to the next one. You've done your part.

In a way, that is how it felt for FC Dallas on Saturday night in their come-from-behind victory over Sporting Kansas City.

It wasn't pretty. At times it looked like it would be another rough home outing. But the response was there when it was needed and the team held on for dear life as Sporting tossed everything it could at FC Dallas late in the match.

Let's dive into some key items from Saturday's win and what it all means this season for Eric Quill and his staff.

Withstanding the pressure

The opening 20 minutes of both halves saw Sporting on the aggressive. This is what happens when you get a team that hasn't had a win since...checking notes...last September. Good lord, I almost feel for their fans.

Almost.

It's still Sporting KC after all. That feeling goes away pretty quickly when you realize that this was a much-needed win after losing the first two at home earlier in the month and when you notice that the schedule has FCD on the road for four out of the next five games.
