North Texas SC goes for their second ever title tonight as they host the Philadelphia Union II in the MLS NEXT Pro Cup championship match at Toyota Stadium.

North Texas Notes:

Key player for NTSC: Pedrinho - He’s been one of the club’s best players during their current playoff run.

How the got here: After a dominant regular season, NTSC was the top seed in the MLS NEXT Pro playoffs. They survived an early scare from Vancouver before downing Tacoma and St. Louis CITY2 to advance to the finals.

All-time against Philadelphia: This is the first ever meeting between the two MLSNP sides.

2024 Record: 16-4-8 (62 points – 1st in West)

Philadelphia Notes:

Key player for PHL: Cavan Sullivan - The 15-year old made a ton of headlines earlier this year when he debuted in MLS with the Union.

How the got here: Marlon LeBlanc has been at the helm since 2022, and it’s the first time he leads Union II to the MLS NEXT Pro Cup. Union II first downed NYCFC2 in their opening match. They then had to go to penalty kicks to defeat Charlotte FC’s MLSNP side. Then Philadelphia dominated their Eastern Conference final against Columbus, winning 4-0.

2024 record: 15-9-4 (52 points – 2nd in East)
