BDS Notes:
On Wednesday night against San Jose, Anderson Julio left that match at halftime with an injury. When you factor in that along with the two players who have been on the injury report for the last couple of games (Osaze Urhoghide and Paxton Pomykal), and the suspension for Kaick and Sebastien Ibeagha, Saturday’s lineup is going to be…interesting.
The one positive here is seeing Ramiro get removed from the injury report. The main question I have is will he be fit enough to start, or will we see him off the bench instead? My gut tells me we’ll see him off the bench.
How Eric Quill handles who to replace Julio will be another intriguing piece. Will he go with Bernard Kamungo, who came in at halftime on Wednesday for Julio? Or will he try something else out by pushing Pedrinho up the field (I kind of lean towards that one)?
FCD’s opponent, San Diego, also has plenty of injuries to discuss. The big one will be whether or not Chucky Lozano will be available for this one or not. He didn’t appear on Wednesday in Vancouver, but he isn’t listed as out or questionable for Saturday. It sounds like he will be available. Alejandro Alvarado also left the game in Vancouver with an injury. With Luca De La Torre and Anibal Godoy out on international duty, their depth will be tested there.
