FC Dallas looks to make it two wins in a row at home this weekend as they host Sporting Kansas City on Saturday evening.

Both teams are coming off draws from last weekend as Sporting picked up their third straight scoreless draw of 2023 while FC Dallas nearly had three points in Vancouver, but an own-goal on Paul Arriola kept that game level with the Whitecaps.

FC Dallas Notes:

Key player for FC Dallas: Arriola - We’re going to single out the FCD captain as he looks to rebound from his performance in Vancouver a week ago. He wasn’t bad by any stretch, but just like with Alan Velasco, we’d like to see a little more of him in the attack this season.

Last year against Sporting: The sides met three times, two in the regular season and once in the US Open Cup. They ended up splitting those meetings, with Sporting coming out on top in the Open Cup and Dallas picking up a draw in KC last spring before beating Sporting at home on Decision Day.

All-time against SKC: FC Dallas leads the series with a 29-27-14 in regular season matches against Sporting Kansas City with a 17-12-5 record in Dallas.

Homegrown clock: FC Dallas Homegrowns have played a total of 711 minutes and made nine appearances.

One to keep an eye on: FC Dallas is 15 goals away from scoring its 500th goal at Toyota Stadium since the stadium opened on August 6, 2005.
