FC Dallas has been able to pick up road points in every game outside of Frisco this season. Tonight, they'll have their biggest road test to date as they take on Inter Miami in South Beach.

Miami enters Sunday's match unbeaten in league play in 2025. They're also in the middle of a semifinal run in the Concacaf Champions Cup, where they are currently down 2-0 after the first leg against the Vancouver Whitecaps. Their return match will be this week in Florida.

Let’s dive into some notes, predictions and more.

FC Dallas Notes:

Key player for FC Dallas: Lucho Acosta - He's got to come up big in this one. It is as simple as that.

Last time against Miami: The last regular season match between these two sides was back in the 2023 season, when FC Dallas picked up a nice 1-0 shutout win over the Herons (who hadn't added Lionel Messi to their roster at that point).

All-time against Miami: The two clubs have only met three times in league play, with FC Dallas leading the all-time series 2-0-1.

Homegrown clock: FC Dallas is starting to pick up the Homegrown minutes this season. Michael Collodi earned a start in Salt Lake a couple weeks ago, and Nolan Norris has now earned three straight starts with Marco Farfan out with an injury. All together, they’ve accounted for 420 minutes this season.

Lacking set piece goals: The Dallas attack has dried up in recent weeks. Despite being one of the better teams in the air, the team has yet to figure out how to score on a set piece in 2025.

Random season stats:

  • Sebastien Ibeagha ranks 15 in MLS in clearances with 15.
  • Osaze Urhoghide is tied for second across MLS in aerial challenges
    won with 32.
  • Shaq Moore ranks No. 35 across MLS in total distance covered with
    94.87 km (59 miles).
  • Maarten Paes has 32 successful long passes from open play and is
    ninth in MLS.
  • Léo Chú has the fastest speed recorded for FC Dallas this season at
35.3 KPH/21.9 MPH ranking No. 8 in MLS.
