As the 30th season for FC Dallas is getting set to kick off next weekend, the club on Wednesday unveiled its latest secondary kit that will be used for the 2025 and 2026 seasons, called the Inferno Kit.

The kit pairs primarily with matching blue shorts, creating a bold, unified presence on the field.

The kit will make its debut when FC Dallas hosts Chicago Fire FC in its 2025 regular season opener at Toyota Stadium on Saturday, March 8 at 7:30 p.m. CT

“What I like the most about this new Inferno Kit is how simple it is," said defender Sebastien Ibeagha. "The light blue and the red looks great together, the way the colors mesh gives it a very clean look.”

Design details:

Inspired by The Inferno, one of the club’s first supporters’ groups, the Inferno Kit boldly celebrates the Dallas Burn era while also paying tribute to the Dallas Tornado, the NASL team founded by the legendary Lamar Hunt—a pioneer of American soccer whose vision continues to shape FC Dallas today.

According to the club's press release, the jersey’s cool blue base bursts with striking red flames, symbolizing the unwavering passion of the club and its fans. The bold, fiery red crest anchors the design as a symbol of the energy, pride, and spirit that define FC Dallas.

BDS Thoughts

I shared my thoughts on the kit leak a few days ago. For now, I'm going to file this one very much under the category of "I need to see it in person and up close" before I really make a full decision on it.

It is hard to say that the color base is a "cool blue" when the images make to seem more white than blue. I still believe it resembles some old D.C. United and New England Revolution kits from previous seasons.

The elements I do like on it are the all red logo and the blue shorts to go with it.

The one saving grace for most people is something my sources are telling me that is coming later this summer. FC Dallas is expected to launch a third kit this season that will celebrate its 30th year in Major League Soccer. Maybe save your cash for that one, folks.
