BDS Notes:

I do have to call out that the injury report given by the team and the league last Friday, ahead of the season opener, ended up getting amended on game day. I'm hopeful that isn't going to be the norm this season, or else we may be pushing these updates to game day instead of the day before, like we've been doing the last two years.

That being said, today’s roster profile update did help shed some light on the off-budget and loan situation for some players. We know now that both Geovane Jesus and Enzo Newman will be loaned to North Texas SC, which is a good landing spot for both as they are regaining their fitness this year following ACL injuries.

The club did announce (rather quietly) that newly signed Homegrown defender Kaka Scabin suffered a knee injury in training this week and will miss the entire 2026 season.

But one bit of news that should make fans happy, newly signed Uruguayan attacking midfielder Joaquin Valiente has been training with this club this week ahead of his debut. The club stated that he came in fit from his preseason in South America, so we should see his debut in a Dallas jersey on Saturday.

As for the visitors, Nashville enters the week with no one on their out list. However, they do have three players listed as questionable with an illness. It sounds like a bug is going through the Nashville locker room this week.
