The draw for the 2025 US Open Cup Round of 32 has been set. The 16 Major League Soccer clubs will join the 16 winners of the last round as the tournament heats up.
FC Dallas was drawn into the Paul Caligiuri Group with fellow MLS side New York Red Bulls, the USL-Championship defending champions Colorado Springs Switchbacks and USL League One club AV Alta FC.
FC Dallas will host AV Alta FC in the Round of 32 on Tuesday, May 6 or Wednesday, May 7, likely to kickoff at 7:00 pm.
AV Alta reached the Round of 32 in their first year as a USL-League One side. On Tuesday night, they upset USL-C club Orange County SC in a wild 2-2 game that ended up seeing AV Alta win on penalty kicks. Former FC Dallas goalkeeper Carlos Avilez made three saves in the match.
The winner of this match will go on the road to play either the Red Bulls or the Switchbacks.
