The MLS Cup Playoffs are back this weekend, did you hear?

Yeah, as dumb as the playoff format is for how it breaks for nearly two weeks due to the November FIFA break, we are back this weekend for the conference finals.

Four big games across the league. I’m here to get into my predictions. I was pretty good with my Western Conference predictions from Round One, but boy, my Eastern Conference picks were rough. I was one for four in that conference.

No. 1 LAFC vs No. 4 Seattle Sounders

Time and date: Saturday, November 23, 9:30 pm CT

Season series: LAFC won both games with a combined 5-1 score.

Quick Thoughts: In a battle that I really am lukewarm about (yeah, I don’t care for either team really), we get what feels like an annual playoff match between LAFC and Seattle. Neither side were truly dominant in their Round One series, but LAFC seems to have Seattle’s number as of late. You have to go all the way back to May 2021 to find the last Sounders win in this series. I don’t see that changing this weekend.
