After some intriguing games in the MLS Cup Playoff conference semifinal round last week, we have two more games to dive into ahead of the Cup final next weekend.
Here is what we do know, either Seattle or LA will be hosting the MLS Cup on December 7. Neither Orlando or New York can host since it goes to the highest seed possible from the league’s Supporters’ Shield race.
No. 2 LA Galaxy vs No. 4 Seattle Sounders
Time and date: Saturday, November 30, 9:00 pm CT
Season series: Galaxy won one and the other was a draw
Quick Thoughts: Going into the playoffs, I kind of thought this could and would be a conference finals match. I know I had LAFC last weekend in my picks, but I always felt in the back of my mind that the Sounders could sneak up and make a run in these playoffs. There was always something about them that made me think that. The Galaxy on the other hand, geez, six goals against Minnesota last weekend. I want to think that Seattle can handle their attack but the Galaxy look a bit unstoppable at the moment.
Galaxy wins if… Riqui Puig continues to be himself.
Seattle wins if…they figure out a way to bottle up Puig.
Prediction: LA 3-1
No. 4 Orlando City vs No. 7 New York Red Bulls
Time and date: Saturday, November 30, 6:30 pm CT
Season series: New York won one and the other was a draw
