The hiring of Eric Quill as FC Dallas' next head coach has been a bit different from previous coaching moves for the club. Typically, we the media (both locally and nationally) are given a chance to sit through a press conference to introduce the new manager within a couple of days.

This time around that isn't the case. I largely chalk that up to the time of the year with Thanksgiving on the calendar in the coming days as a reason the club didn't want to get too much lost in the holiday shuffle. I'm sure there are other factors for not hosting an introductory press conference until December 5.

All of that to say, normally some of these questions below would get answered in that press conference. For now, we're going to ask them here and talk about them. Hopefully, by the time we get to that introductory press conference next month, we'll be able to get better answers from Quill, the Hunts and Andre Zanotta.

Here are the three questions I have right now that I think Quill is going to need to address sooner rather than later as manager of FC Dallas.

Is Eric Quill the right guy for FC Dallas? We’re going to find out
On paper the move makes sense for FC Dallas. But, is it the right move?

How does he get the best out of Jesus Ferreira?

This one has a few parts for me. If he stays, it easily becomes the top thing Quill has to sort out. If he goes and is sold this winter, it becomes more about what the club does with the open Designated Player slot.

But, let's dive into the first part of this issue.
