As we gear up for another preseason camp starting in a few days, I really feel like there are way more questions surrounding this FC Dallas squad than we’ve ever had in previous season.
Last year, it was all about who was going to score, would the injury situation be resolved and how the team would look in Nico Estevez's third season. Fairly routine and basic stuff going into a preseason camp.
This year, man, after the offseason we've seen this club go through, there are far more questions than I can even begin to count. We'll try today, believe me, we'll try. The tough part is, a lot of them won't be answered anytime soon.
When will FC Dallas wrap up their deals with Seattle?
From what I've been told, the Jesus Ferreira side of things was with the league front office but that has been handled; however, the delay could have been with Ferreira and his team looking to see if there were any late offers from a team in Europe. But, it appears that this one is getting over the line this week.
The Paul Arriola deal, I'm told, is separate from the Ferreira deal with Seattle. One isn't fully dependent on the other, but based on how the Ferreira appears to be structured, you kind of need it to happen first.
It looks like we’ll see the club try to wrap these up this week before players report this weekend for training camp.
