FC Dallas defender Joshua Torquato, midfielder Diego Garcia, and forwards Jaidyn Contreras and Nicholas Simmonds have earned their first U.S. Youth National Team call-ups of 2026.
Garcia receives the second U.S. U-20 call-up of his career and his first of 2026. Garcia signed a homegrown contract with FC Dallas on Jan. 9, 2025. He made his MLS debut on Sept. 27 in a 2-2 road draw against the Portland Timbers and made his second appearance in a 2-1 comeback win at Vancouver Whitecaps FC. Garcia previously represented the U.S. at the U-19 and U-17 levels.
Simmonds earned his first U.S. U-20 Youth National Team call-up after FC Dallas selected him third overall in the 2026 MLS SuperDraft. While at the University of Virginia, Simmonds earned First-Team All-American honors with 10 goals and five assists and was named ACC Freshman of the Year. He previously received call-ups to the Jamaican U-17 and U-20 Youth National Teams.
Contreras joined the FC Dallas Academy in 2022 and made his professional debut with North Texas SC on July 27, 2024. He recorded 26 appearances, two goals and two assists with North Texas during the 2025 season. Internationally, Contreras earned two call-ups to the U.S. U-18 Men’s National Team in 2025 and received his first U.S. U-19 call-up in October. He also competed for the Honduras U-19 Men’s National Team in the UNCAF FIFA Forward U-19 tournament in December 2025.
Torquato made his FC Dallas debut on June 14, 2025, in a 4-2 win at Sporting Kansas City, becoming the seventh-youngest player to start an MLS game for the club at 17 years and 357 days old. Torquato appeared in five regular-season matches and made his MLS playoff debut in Game 1 of the Audi 2025 MLS Cup Playoffs. After joining the FC Dallas Academy in 2019, he competed in the GA Cup (2022-24), Dallas Cup (2023) and Liga MX International tournaments (2023, 2024).
