There is probably no getting around it, FC Dallas wasted points on Saturday night in their 1-1 draw with Real Salt Lake.
It wasn’t even the man advantage for the final 30 or so minutes that was part of that wasted feeling. No, finding results at home continues to be an issue this season for new manager Eric Quill.
So what really is the issue? I may not have enough time to break everything down in that department in this post, but I do think there were some key things on Saturday worth diving into here as to why FC Dallas had to fight back to get a single point instead of three.
Acosta continues to struggle
There were moments on Saturday where I thought “hey, Lucho isn’t doing too bad out there,” only to be followed up with “yep, he’s pissed and frustrated.” There really hasn’t been a middle ground with Lucho Acosta this season.
We knew this going in with him. When he’s good, he’s really freakin’ good. And when he’s not good, things look really off.
