Games in St. Louis are truly weird for FC Dallas.
In four trips, FC Dallas has yet to pick up all three points. But, unlike two of the previous three trips, this time around, FC Dallas managed to somehow come away with a draw despite getting hammered with shots by St. Louis thanks to their man advantage.
Even though we don't want a draw to feel like a win at this point in the season, it certainly feels like one you take. Let's dive into the game, the red card and more from the 1-1 draw.
Weird moment lead to a stellar debut for Jackson
For the second time in two years, FC Dallas went to St. Louis and saw a goalkeeper get a straight red.
Yeah, I really have no words for how weird and bizarre that actually is for a team to do multiple times. But, it happened. Again.
The bad pass to Lalas Abubakar and the bad touch by Abubakar with Joao Klauss on his heels lead to Michael Collodi having to make a tough decision from outside his penalty area. It is one of those situations where you don’t want to see you keeper have to make. In a way, I think Collodi did the best he could even though I do believe Klauss had a bad touch of his own on the ball and Shaq Moore likely would have cleaned up the play for Dallas.
