Quotes from Eric Quill

On the result:

“We’ve been training exceptionally hard. Today was a great test. I was really impressed with what I saw. There was a lot of fatigue but every day we’re growing more and more. I’m really proud of the consistency of the group.“

On the goals in the second half:

“They just shared the ball really fast. With the pace that you have on the field in the second half, you get a lot of 1v1 matchups. They shared it and the mentality without the ball, to get behind it, to press was outstanding. I was really happy with their output.”

On Ricky Louis:

“I saw vertical aggression, which is what we want to see and is why we drafted him. He’s not looking to play simple, he is looking to antagonize the game. For a young player, he has big ambition. He stood out and got the goal he deserved. He grew as the half went on and he was rewarded for it.”
