After a gauntlet in May that left FC Dallas winless, the month of June comes into focus now with only a few matches to pick up points.

FC Dallas had six league matches in May and that number is cut in half for June. Let’s dive into the three matches and see if FC Dallas is going to be able to end their current winless streak.

Sporting Kansas City - away - June 14

The lone road match on the schedule this month is a trip up north to Kansas City. Sporting has been dealing with a rocky season this year, as they fired Peter Vermes following the first match between these two earlier this year in Frisco. Like Dallas, they’ve struggled a bit at home this season, with only two wins in seven matches.

San Jose Earthquakes - home - June 25

After another week off, FC Dallas is back at home for another round of Wednesday to Saturday matches. Thankfully, both matches are in Frisco against West Coast teams. The Quakes have been really good offensively this season under Bruce Arena, scoring (as of this writing) 34 goals, second to Inter Miami. Their defense is still a bit shaky as they’ve given up more goals than FC Dallas has up to this point.

San Diego FC - home - June 28

The last game of the month is a rematch with the expansion side from San Diego. We all remember the beating FC Dallas took in San Diego earlier this year and you have to think this group has revenge on their minds with this match. San Diego has been a pretty decent road team in 2025, going 3-4-0 so far. But this will be on the end of a three-game road trip for them that sees them go to Vancouver and Minnesota.

Outlook

On paper, this should be a nine point month. Should be. But if this season has taught us anything at all so far, we can’t take anything or any opponent for granted.

Two of these three clubs are in the playoff picture right now, though I’d argue the Quakes could be a team that won’t be there come playoff time (they’re too erratic with how they score and give up goals).

At minimum, I do think FC Dallas has to get seven points from these two games. Eric Quill’s club has to start picking up some wins here, especially at home, in order to remain in the playoff hunt. If they continue losing or dropping points at home in June, when they’re only a couple of points away from the final playoff spot, it will make it even harder for them to climb their way out of it come August and September.

What do you all think is a reasonable month in terms of points for FC Dallas?
