We're six games into this new season and I think we're finally at a spot where we know a thing or two about this FC Dallas squad under Eric Quill.
The team has gone through some growing pains both offensively and defensively over the last month and a half, but have come out doing pretty well for themselves with ten points in six games.
Saturday's win against Sporting KC showed me that defensively, this group is finally starting to settle into what I think we're going to get out of them this season. A very bend but don't break kind of group, but one that can withstand some pressure.
Today, I want to spend more time looking at the defensive group and how they handled Sporting's pressure, as well as some other trends we're seeing this season.
Nolan earns his spot
We spent a lot of time in the preseason harping over the lack of a true back up to Farfan on the depth charts. After the season started, we were told that Homegrown midfielder Nolan Norris was the guy that Quill and his staff wanted to use more as a backup to Marco Farfan or even a center back option for late game situations if needed.
