The stellar road form for FC Dallas in 2025 continues as they came from two goals goal in the second half to defeat Inter Miami 4-3.

This was Inter Miami's first defeat of the regular season, while Dallas has yet to lose away from home.

After being shutout in their last two games, Dallas for four goals from all over the field. Defenders Shaq Moore and Osaze Urhoghide found their first Dallas goals, while midfielders Anderson Julio and Pedrinho scored goals in the second half.

Dallas grabbed the early lead eight minutes into the match as Moore scored his first goal with the club. The ball came up the left side of the field for Dallas and then Ramiro played into the penalty box where Logan Farrington attempted a shot on goal that was blocked. Kaick also tried a shot that was blocked and cleared to the other side of the penalty box where Moore ran on to it and fired a shot into the far post.

Eight minutes later, Miami charged up the field and tied the game up. Ian Fray took the ball toward the back line and then played a ball across the penalty box. Leo Afonso took a quick shot that forced Maarten Paes to make a reflex save but the rebound was finished by Fafa Picault.

The Herons took the lead right before the half hour mark as Fray set up another goal from the right side with a cross into the penalty box that Allen Obando finished.

Ten minutes into the second half, Miami extended its lead off a goal from David Martinez. Benji Cremaschi drove the ball down the right side of the Dallas defense and then laid it off to Martinez, who hit a first-time shot that sailed past Paes and hit the far post before going into the back of the net.

Dallas pulled one back in the 65th minute on the club’s first set-piece goal of the season as Lucho Acosta chipped in a ball from the right side of the penalty area. Acosta’s ball found the head of Urhoghide, which was blocked, but the Dallas defender was quick to react and score his first MLS goal.

Instant Reaction: The way Miami dominated the left side of the Dallas defense says a bit, doesn’t it? But it may also say a bit about how the Dallas central defense is handling things in the penalty area.

The build up play through the midfield was also nonexistent until Pedrinho came on in the second half. He and Acosta worked really well together in getting things going through the Miami defense. Being able to put the Herons on their back heels and use the speed of Julio and others to best them was a lot of fun to watch.

About the Subs: Shortly after the third Miami goal, Eric Quill went to his bench with a double sub by bringing on Lalas Abubakar for Nolan Norris and Pedrinho for Show. In the 88th minute, Quill brought off Farrington for Tarik Scott, who made his 2025 debut. In the first minute of stoppage time, the final sub came on as Tsiki Ntsabeleng came on for Acosta.

Man of the Match: Julio and Pedrinho both had excellent matches, easily give to one of those guys.

Where does this fit into the season: The win pushes FC Dallas up to 6th place in the Western Conference with 15 points. The win is also the third away from home, you have to go back to the 2023 season to find more road wins than that (which Dallas can match next week in San Diego).

What’s next for FC Dallas: The club wraps up a three-game road trip this coming weekend with the first meeting against San Diego FC.
