Wednesday afternoon provided more insight and information as to how FC Dallas spent on their roster during the summer transfer window, as the Major League Soccer Players Association released its fall salary data.
Here’s a breakdown of how the Burn spent in the second half of the season:

BDS Take
It shouldn't be a shocker that the newcomers added this summer didn't break the bank all that much. We knew that Deedson's long-term contract would see his salary spread out in this manner.
Dallas did shed large contracts this summer in the form of Lucho Acosta (DP slot, $3 m base salary), Leo Chu (U22 slot, $600k base salary), Marco Farfan (senior roster, $550k base salary), Show (international slot, $462k base salary), and Homegrown keeper Antonio Carrera ($200k base salary).
I think the one that really stands out to me that wasn't a newcomer is seeing Lalas Abubakar's salary go from $700k down to $410,000. I'm not sure yet as of this writing if the earlier release was inaccurate or if it is this release. But, if that is a lower number for Abubakar, I have to think it helps open some doors for the club to spend well this winter for another center back.
