It has been no secret that FC Dallas has been struggling as of late. Following a three-game home stand between June and July, FC Dallas dropped all three games to conference opponents.

On the flip side of things for Eric Quill’s club in 2025 has been how the club has played away from home. FC Dallas is currently 4-2-4 on the road this season with wins coming at Kansas City, Houston, Miami and Salt Lake.

Quill and his staff hope the next two games coming up at LAFC on Saturday and San Jose the following Wednesday can help the club rebound a bit and end the current losing streak.

“Our backs are against the wall a little bit,” said Quill. “So we have to be super aggressive even though we’re going into a hostile environment, against a talent team. We have to have belief in ourselves that we can go in there and get a result. We’ve shown that we can and that’s been our DNA on the road this year.”

FC Dallas has yet to win a game at LAFC’s BMO Stadium, with a 0-5-1 record there in all-time meetings. The only draw came in the club’s first meeting with LAFC back in 2018.

As FC Dallas enters a three games in seven days span starting with Saturday’s visit to LAFC, Quill is expecting more out of his entire roster for these next set of matches.

“We’ve told the guys that this is going to be a contribution from everybody. We have three games in seven days coming up. We have to rotate and guys have to be ready, their contributions have to be top level for us to get results,” said Quill.

Lately, Quill has given minutes to some players from North Texas SC like Sam Sarver and academy defender Josh Torquato. He’s also been rotating in players like Diego Garcia, Anthony Ramirez and Alvaro Augusto. Some of those rotations have been due to injuries, but in other ways, it has been earned by the young players involved.

“I think it is nice for guys to know that minutes are coming their way if it is earned. We gotta rotate the legs because it is a lot of minutes on the table here. It’s a nice moment for us collectively with that sort of ambition that we’re in this together in the next three games,” stated Quill.
