As we dive deeper into the season, the injury bug is starting to pick up a bit. For the second straight week, Anderson Julio will be sidelined with a lower leg injury. I do hope to get more details on that tomorrow night to see how long this will keep him out of action.
The big one though is seeing Osaze Urhoghide on the questionable side. That is one player FC Dallas cannot afford to lose for a game like this. Urhoghide is a leader in the defense and arguably the club’s best center back. They’ll need him against a San Diego team that has been scoring a lot of goals already this season.
Speaking of San Diego, they enter the week with a trio of injuries of their own. But I would estimate they’ll have heavier legs in this one after dealing with Toluca in the Concacaf Champions Cup on Wednesday night, where they picked up a pair of red cards in the second half as they were working to close out that game. Those red cards won’t have impact on this game, but the tired legs will.
