The two sides met earlier this season in Minnesota, with that match ending in a scoreless draw.

Key Player: Tani Oluwaseyi
The Canadian striker has been really good for the Loons in 2025. He currently leads the way with eight goals and five assists. With Canada crashing out of the Gold Cup early, Oluwaseyi will be a welcome sight for Minnesota fans this week.
Key Matchup:
Availability Report1:
Suspended: none
Out: Morris Duggan (back)
Questionable: none
On Loan: none
International duty: none
Quick Notes:
Gold Cup returns: With Canada and Honduras ending their runs in the Gold Cup, Minnestoa were able to get their main core back for this week's game. Carlos Harvey, Tani Oulwaseyi, Joseph Rosales, and Dayne St. Clair will all be available on Friday.
Recent form: Minnesota have been bouncing around in terms of form since the middle of May. Since their big home win over Inter Miami, they've gone 3-2-3.
Reviewing the last match: Back in April, the two sides squared off in a fairly entertaining scoreless draw.

Comparing the two sides: This will be another match where both teams will actually not want the ball for the majority of the game. Because of that, we're going to also see two of the better teams who win duels battle.

Potential Lineup:
Getting those players back from international duty is going to be pretty huge for Eric Ramsey this week.
St. Clair, Hlongwane, Diaz, Boxall, Romero, Rosales; Pereyra, Harvey, Trapp, Lod; Oulwaseyi
Keys To Three Points over Minnesota
- Limit the mistakes in the defensive third: Minnesota does well at picking off mistakes in their attacking third and pouncing on them around the penalty area. If FC Dallas has those same mental lapses that we've seen in recent games in the defensive third, it could be along night for Maarten Paes.
- Keep feeding the wings, work the counter: This one really could come down to some counter attacks or even some quick plays out of the midfield to the wide areas for FC Dallas. We've seen a lot of good play along the wings as of late in creating chances. While the Loons do well at clogging up those spaces, as they push numbers forward, they'll be more exposed on the counter.
- Start strong, finish strong: Eric Quill has talked a lot about this in recent weeks, but Dallas has to find a way to start games off stronger and not giving up cheap goals early. Chasing a game against a team like Minnesota will not be easy. They also need to close out games better. We've seen too many late goals scored against them (only the LA Galaxy have given up more in the final 15 minutes this season than FCD has), so maintaining momentum throughout will be vital on Friday.
