It is time for another 2025 FC Dallas player recap post, with today’s look at veteran midfielder Sebastien Lletget.
Let’s dive into what worked and didn’t work for the 33-year old midfielder.
Stat breakdown
Early in the year, it seemed like Lletget was one of the few players that seemed to figure out how to connect with Lucho Acosta on the field. But, like we’ve seen over the last couple of seasons from Lletget, injuries popped up and kept him from being at his best.
| Name | Games Played | Games Started | Minutes | Goals | Assists | SOT |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sebastian Lletget | 20 | 14 | 1150 | 1 | 3 | 4 |
And now for some fancy charts and graphs.

A couple of things really stand out to me from his charts. For one, he was deployed in so many different spots this season. Some out of necessity for Eric Quill (remember that brief moment at right wing back?), and some that really make you shake your head (that one time at left wing forward?).

Highlight
There weren’t a ton of great moments for Lletget in 2025. His lone goal came in the summer during a loss to San Diego FC. Also, it was a tap-in type of goal.
Will he be back in 2026?
For FC Dallas to bring him back, they’ll have to pick up the final option on his current contract. With an $800k contract, that may be a tough sell for FC Dallas after only getting 20 matches out of him this year.
Final thoughts
I go back and forth on whether or not it makes sense to bring back Lletget for one more year in 2026. His price tag is something that really gives me pause, though he is exactly the type of guy you want in this locker room.
I also see more pluses at times with him returning. For one thing, even though it doesn’t always make sense, you can put him nearly every where on the pitch. Quill knew that he could slot him in across any spot in the midfield and mostly see results from it.
On the other end, his health this season is something that continues to be an issue. And even when he was healthy late in the season, Quill didn’t seem as eager to go to him off the bench. In the last five games he was available for off the bench in 2025, he only played 46 minutes.
If Dallas is able to get him at a lower salary, I think it could make sense to bring him back for another season. If not, I think it is time to move on from Lletget.
