It was a roller coaster season for the young Brazilian.

As we get into the offseason for FC Dallas, today, we will begin our player recaps. To get us started, we're going to look at Pedrinho, a young player who had a lot of good and bad moments in his first season with the first team.

Stat breakdown

The young Brazilian came up from North Texas after guiding that team to an MLS NEXT Pro Cup title in 2024. Early on in the season, he was finding a lot of time off the bench and was able to contribute a decent amount as a counter to Lucho Acosta.

For a young guy, Pedrinho does pretty well at finding the game and connecting passes between the midfield and the attack. He's also not afraid to take players on with the dribble and move the ball up the field that way.

Let's dive into several charts and graphs from the 2025 season for Pedrinho.

Highlight

Pedrinho only had two goals to pick from this season, but the one in Miami was definitely the one to highlight, as it ended up being a game-winner against the Herons.

Will he be back in 2026?

Given that he was on the Supplemental side of the roster and has a couple more option years left on his deal, I think it makes sense to bring him back for another season to see how he can progress.

Final thoughts

After getting in the dog house along with Acosta back in the summer, Pedrinho was able to find his way back on the field. Toward the end of the season, manager Eric Quill was even singing his praises for his work ethic in training. For me, that is a positive to see him learn from some mistakes off the field with the team and grow from it.

The big thing for me in 2026 is how Pedrinho takes his game to the next level with this club and how he responds to something like the club signing another Designated Player in his position. Earning 900 or so minutes in his first MLS season is good, but he will need to start more games next season to truly take that leap.
