Two early goals were enough to down those ugly orange folks.

FC Dallas is going to retain El Capitán for another year after a 3-0 win over the Houston Dynamo.

The win also punches a ticket into the 2020 playoff for Luchi Gonzalez’s side.

Dallas opened up quickly in the first half with goals from Franco Jara in the 19th minute and Fafa Picault in the 26th minute.

Andres Ricaurte was instrumental in the second goal as he sent a beautiful curling ball to Picault at the back post where he was able to easily head the ball into the back of the net.

Dallas was able to hold off the Dynamo in the second half as Picault scored his second on the day just before the end of the match.

Instant Reaction: This was the week FC Dallas needed to get as they push towards a playoff spot for the second year under Luchi. The offense looked more like what we would want as Jara scored two much-needed goals this week. Ricaurte looked more active in the midfield. It looks more and more like he enjoys playing Houston. The defense also pitched a solid shutout today too.

Man of the match: Two goals and an assist for Fafa on the day is simple enough. The defense also looked good too and you couldn't be wrong handing out the honor to that group as well.

What's next for FC Dallas: Just two more games on the season as FCD will be back on the road next week against Nashville on Wednesday night and then at Minnesota for Decision Day next weekend.
