Multiple reports out of Denmark have linked FC Dallas to rising European player Mustapha Bundu of Aarhus GF (Danish Super Liga).
According to B.T. Sport, FC Dallas offered 1.5 million Euros for Bungu. AGF is said to be asking for around 4 million Euros for the Sierra Leone native.
Other sites have reported the FCD offer to be as low as $1.2 million and AGFs asking price to be as high as 4.5 million Euros. They all appear to be using B.T. Sport as their source.
The 22-year old currently has seven goals and five assists in 12 games. He is a center forward with blazing speed and is capable of playing on both wings.
Here's where Bundu currently stands among his peers:
Most goals + assists in UEFA's top 15 country coefficients:— Zach Lowy (@ZachLowy) October 6, 2019
1. Erling Haaland (16)
2. Aleksandr Sobolev (13)
3. Dušan Tadić (13)
4. Júnior Moraes (12)
5. Mustapha Bundu (12)
6. Robert Lewandowski (11)
7. Christoph Monschein (11)
Erling Haaland is 19 years old.
There’s not much available in the form of recent highlights, but if you have ESPN+, then you can watch a replay of any Aarhus GF match from this season.
This reminds me of the Bryan Acosta dealings, which took FCD two off seasons to complete. The asking price for Bundu, is a price that FCD can reach with some clever offer. Something in the range of $2 million with AGF retaining 40% could possibly work.
FCD can acquire the funds to complete the deal, by selling or releasing the right player(s).
What do you think? Is Bundu the center forward the team has been missing? Does Bundu replace a wing player? Will the Hunts fork out the funds necessary to seal the deal? Let us know your thoughts!
