The summer is officially here and with that means more silly season rumors. Today is one that may make you all think a bit as it involves a team looking at a current FC Dallas player instead of the other way around.
Word out of Mexico is that Chivas Guadalajara is actively interested in FC Dallas midfielder Victor Ulloa. Whether or not this is just fan speculation is one thing, but there appears to be some smoke to this fire.
Why would Chivas be interested in Ulloa? The Wylie-native has been getting more starting minutes in the last two months under Oscar Pareja after he swapped formations to a 4-3-3. Ulloa starting, along with Chivas’ need to go cheaper has a lot to do with this uptick in interest in the Dallas Homegrown.
Chivas is also looking into two other players out of MLS as well.
Estos son los 3 jugadores de la #MLS por los que #Chivas ha preguntado, los 3 están disponibles con una buena oferta económica a los clubes. The one big thing that will obviously have to happen for Ulloa to make this move happen is a switch in his nationality to be full fledged Mexican. We saw this before with another Dallas Homegrown in Alejandro Zendejas, when the club sold him a couple years back to Chivas.
Ulloa is a Mexican-American, so the switch likely wouldn’t be too hard for him to do.
What do you make of Ulloa potentially leaving Dallas for Chivas? Let us know below.
