FC Dallas could be making a big splash this winter in the transfer market as they close in on signing Colombian attacker Santiago Mosquera.
In a new report, Mosquera is traveling to the US this weekend to finalize the deal with Oscar Pareja and company.
New report that #Millonarios and #FCDallas are about the complete the agreement for Harold Santiago Mosquera for close to $3.7 million. In principle, the talented and versatile 22 year old attacker would travel to the U.S. this weekend to complete his transfer. #FCD #MLS https://t.co/AHxEE4Buvk

The new number being discussed is slightly less than the $4 million mark that was tossed around the other day when this rumor first hit the web.
Mosquera is an interesting prospect for FC Dallas as he can play in multiple spots in the attack from a second striker role, an attacking midfielder and - mostly likely - a winger.
FC Dallas looks to be using the influx of Targeted Allocation Money to help secure his roster spot too. The team could find a way to slot him in as a Young DP to lessen the salary cap hit as Anibal Chala is expected to be on his way out of the team any time now.
What do you make of this news? Are you excited to see FC Dallas land another Colombian striker?
