Report: FC Dallas could be chasing Colombian forward Santiago Mosquera

New, comments

If Anibal Chala is on the way out, Mosquera could be a nice consolation prize.

The preseason may be underway for FC Dallas this week but the silly season continues to spit out rumors here in January.

Today’s rumor could excite some of you as it shows that FC Dallas could be interested in another young Colombian attacker in Santiago Mosquera.

Mosquera has been rumored to leave Millonarios for a few weeks now and that the offer is good from MLS.

Mosquera is the type of attacking player that could excel under Oscar Pareja. The 22-year old can play at the number nine or on the right wing.

That reported price tag could be a bit high for a young attacking player that hasn’t exactly lit the Colombian first division on fire. In 46 games he has eight goals and nine assists. But given his age and ability, he could do well in MLS given the right situation.

What do you make of Mosquera as a possible signing for this club? Do you want to see the club spend big on another young player?
