Happy New Years! According to reports, FC Dallas wasted little time in bolstering their backline to begin the new year:

Reto Ziegler is a former Swiss National Team player, who played last season with FC Sion of the Swiss 1st Division.
The report states the 31-year old will join FC Dallas on a free transfer, and has signed a two year deal.
Ziegler is a former Tottenham Hotspur, and Juventus player, who is listed at a market value of 1.25 million on Transfermarkt.com. That site already has Ziegler listed as having joined FC Dallas. Zito is capable of playing both center back and left back.
Ziegler joins a growing list of Swiss players in MLS including Blerim Dzemaili in Montreal and Jerome Thiesson in Minnesota.
