Report: FC Dallas chasing Colombian playmaker Macnelly Torres

FC Dallas is back on the market, this time not for a keeper.

Atletico Nacional v Kashima Antlers - FIFA Club World Cup Semi Final

Now that we’re fully into the summer months, it means the silly season is upon us yet again. FC Dallas is reported back in the market today with news that should excite some of you.

First of all, Macnelly Torres is not a goalkeeper, so let’s get that one out of the way first. Secondly, he’s a pretty talented Colombian national team player that could be a really good counter part to have along side Mauro Diaz in the Dallas midfield.

The 32-year old attacking midfielder has been with Atletico Nacional since 2015 where he has been a focal point in their attack.

That $3 million price tag is pretty interesting as we’ve always known Dallas to be a little more but some of their most recent purchases with Carlos Gruezo and Cristian Colman have indicated that the team is set on pushing this roster forward in Major League Soccer as much as they can.

What do you make of this new rumor? Excited to see another Colombian on this roster? Think FC Dallas needs another attacking midfielder like this?
