This twitter report below came via Jorge Ramos & Banda suggests that FC Dallas pursued the signature of Guillermo Ochoa.
Ochoa was the starting keeper of the Mexico National Team during the 2014 World Cup. The tweet also cites Moises Llorens, another sports reporter who sometimes comes onto Ramos’ show.
The tweet translates to say that Memo (Guillermo) Ochoa rejected an offer to join FC Dallas, but does not rule out coming in the future.
There have been plenty of transfer rumors swirling around with reports of FC Dallas offering for both Nicolas Vikonis and Julio Chiarini.
Vikonis would have been another expensive option at keeper, as the club was reportedly willing to pay upwards of a $1 million to land him.
FCD currently is only running with two keepers on their roster with veteran Chris Seitz and Homegrown Jesse Gonzalez. Both have split time in net so far this season as Oscar Pareja seems to like rotating the two.
