Bobby Warshaw Loaned To Swedish Club Ängelholms FF

Third year defensive midfielder gets loan to Swedish second division.

FC Dallas has loaned defensive midfielder Bobby Warshaw to Swedish second division side Ängelholms FF, the club announced today.

The 2011 first round draft pick out of Stanford has only logged 130 minutes for FC Dallas this season. Since his debut on May 7, 2011, Warshaw has only appeared in 32 matches, going 889 minutes. He scored one goal, a stoppage-time winner against Sporting Kansas City back in 2011.

There have been rumors lately that the club has been shopping him around for trades and loans. We had a pretty long discussion on here a couple weeks ago about that very subject. Warshaw had gone to FC Dallas technical director Fernando Clavijo and manager Schellas Hyndman asking for a loan to get him more playing time.

Ängelholms does have one American currently playing for them in former Portland keeper Matt Pyzdrowski.

The loan should be a good chance for Warshaw to at least get some quality minutes. If anything, that is what he needs as a young player. I certainly wish Warshaw the best with this loan.
