Announcement will come next Tuesday at a press conference.

It has been nearly two years since Pizza Hut removed themselves as the stadium partner for FC Dallas. Since then the stadium has just simply been known as FC Dallas Stadium. Fans have often wondered out loud when a new naming-rights partner would be announced.

Well that day will come next Tuesday as the club sent out a press advisory this afternoon announcing they would be presenting a new stadium naming-rights partner.

We are thrilled to announce that next Tuesday, September 10 we will be unveiling our stadium naming rights partner. We are excited about our newest partnership and look forward to continuing the growth of this organization with you for many years to come! Stay tuned for more details.

This is a big deal for several reasons. First of all, stadium naming rights typically are big money deals for clubs. BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston was a 10-year, $20 million deal. PPL Park, the home of the Philadelphia Union, was an 11-year, $20 million deal. A fifteen-year naming deal was signed, valued at around $1.5 million to 2 million a year for Real Salt Lake's Rio Tinto Stadium.

No word yet on what kind of money FC Dallas will be getting but I would imagine those deals listed above are a good barometer as to what fans should expect on Tuesday.

The next question of course will be the who is all of this. Knowing FC Dallas and the Hunt Sports Group it will be a local company. I don't have any official word or source on the matter at the moment however. It will be a surprise to us all.

What do you all make of this announcement? Excited to see some more dollars flowing FC Dallas' way? Eager to coin a new nickname for the stadium?
