FC Dallas Injury Update: Key Players Still In Question

There are still some question marks going into Thursday's match with Chivas USA.

As you might expect, the FC Dallas injury report looks fairly similar to last week's edition. Two players still on the injury reserve while three players headline the questionable list.

IR: Ugo Ihemelu (concussion symptoms), Peter Luccin (torn ACL)

Questionable: George John (hamstring strain), Zach Loyd (groin pull), Eric Hassli (lower back strain)

All three missed last weekend's game in Philadelphia and one has to figure with a second game looming on the horizon this weekend that all three could be sitting out tomorrow's match with Chivas USA.

Thankfully the center back situation is good for Dallas at the moment as rookie Walker Zimmerman has stepped up with the injuries to John and Matt Hedges. While having John is better and more stable for the Dallas defense, getting Zimmerman minutes isn't the worst thing here.

The big question will be what does Dallas does with Loyd if he doesn't go. The suspension of Je-Vaughn Watson complicates things as moving Michel to the defense was easier to do with Watson available. Does Schellas Hyndman turn to Bobby Warshaw to go in the midfield with Andrew Jacobson? Or does he put rookie London Woodberry on the field in place of Loyd in the defense and allow Michel to be back in the midfield where he has been more effective?
