FC Dallas Injury Report: Cooper To Miss Colorado Game

Veteran striker being left in Frisco as he deals with concussion issues.

We knew the tackle that caused Kenny Cooper to leave the game last Saturday against the San Jose Earthquakes was a rough one and it looks like it will cost FC Dallas at least one game from the veteran striker.

The team confirmed Thursday evening to me that Cooper will not be apart of the team's travel plans when they travel to Colorado later today.

Cooper isn't the only player listed on this week's injury report. Some usual faces that we've seen lately are still there and rookie defender Walker Zimmerman is also now included after his injury on Tuesday night in Fort Lauderdale in the US Open Cup. Zimmerman is said to be fine but I would imagine he won't start the Colorado game on Saturday.

IR: Ugo Ihemelu (concussion symptoms), Peter Luccin (torn ACL)

Questionable: Matt Hedges (hamstring strain), Andrew Jacobson (hamstring strain), Walker Zimmerman (hamstring strain), Kenny Cooper (concussion symptoms)

The good new from all of this is that Jacobson will be traveling with the club to Colorado and should even get the start in the midfield in place of Je-Vaughn Watson. The Jamaican midfielder is already gone for national team duty and will not be with the club in Colorado. Watson and Jamaica have a match with Mexico on Sunday for the World Cup qualifying.
