Thursday marked the last day FC Dallas would be in town this week ahead of their match at the Seattle Sounders FC on Saturday. The lingering question on everyone's mind this week would be about the status of Andrew Jacobson, David Ferreira and George John.
At training on Thursday, Jacobson went the full session without any issue and could even start come Saturday in Seattle. John and Ferreira both were held out of the training session but there is a big difference on the two players in terms of their status for Saturday. Ferreira is traveling while John did not.
Here is the injury report that was sent over by the club:
IR: Ugo Ihemelu (concussion symptoms), Peter Luccin (torn ACL)
Questionable: George John (hamstring strain), Andrew Jacobson (hamstring strain)
That is one solid injury report for FC Dallas as for the most part, the only real injury the club is dealing with in terms of for this weekend is related to John. Both Ferreira and Jacobson should get the start at CenturyLink Field on Saturday.
Leaving John at home for another week of rest is probably for the best. While I wouldn't have mind seeing Ferreira left home as well, it makes sense that he is going for this one given Schellas Hyndman's post game comments following the D.C. United game last week. He said that he held Ferreira out mostly as a precaution more than anything else.
