# How FC Dallas can clinch a playoff spot on Decision Day

The road to an MLS Cup Playoff spot for FC Dallas in 2025 comes down to Decision Day in Vancouver this weekend. FC Dallas had a chance to lock in a spot last weekend in LA, but a 2-1 loss to the Galaxy meant Eric Quill's club will have to do it this weekend. 

Below are the scenarios officially from MLS.

## **FC Dallas clinches 2025 MLS Cup Playoffs berth with:**

1. FC Dallas WIN at Vancouver Whitecaps FC **OR**
2. FC Dallas DRAW at Vancouver Whitecaps FC AND Colorado Rapids LOSS/DRAW vs. LAFC **OR**
3. FC Dallas DRAW at Vancouver Whitecaps FC AND Real Salt Lake LOSS/DRAW at St. Louis CITY SC **OR**
4. San Jose Earthquakes LOSS/DRAW vs. Austin FC AND Colorado Rapids LOSS vs. LAFC **OR**
5. San Jose Earthquakes LOSS/DRAW vs. Austin FC AND Real Salt Lake LOSS at St. Louis CITY SC **OR**
6. Colorado Rapids LOSS vs. LAFC AND Real Salt Lake LOSS at St. Louis CITY SC

The simple math here is if you win, you're in. But this past weekend in LA showed that nothing is truly that simple. 

Dallas can get a draw in Vancouver (something they did a year ago against the Whitecaps at BC Place), and with a little help, can get into the playoffs.
