FCDallas.com: There are many Colombians at FC Dallas in Jair Benitez, Milton Rodriguez and David Ferreira. Did you already know them? Castillo: Well, I only know Jair and Milton, but David I do not know. I don’t have a friendship with them but they are very happy, and if I get to know them I know I will like them. I am sure we are going to have a wonderful time.

Q&A: FCD's Colombian youngster, Fabián Castillo

Very interesting quote from Garber on rebranding in MLS. I've always thought FC was better than Burn. "The move to international branding is not something that I think diminishes their value as American sports teams. I'm totally okay with that. In fact, I'd rather have names like FC Dallas than the "Burn". I'm not sure what a "Dallas Burn" is."

Don Garber in an interview with AOL's Fanhouse.

"We try to keep the coaches out of the direct line with these things. But Schellas did argue and fight for holding onto an experienced member of his squad. Schellas is looking at his squad and who he has available, and Heath was an important part of the squad last year. So moving forward, yes, he would like to keep him. But the reality is what we spoke about before."

Kenny Cooper from MLS Extra Time Radio today...thought some of ya'll might be interested in this. Was there any talk of going back to Dallas, was that even an option? "Well I think, before I came here[Portland], I think I would have been open minded to the possibility of going back to Dallas. I really enjoyed my time there. It was a great coaching staff there. I was recruited to go to SMU when Schellas was coaching there and I enjoyed my time playing for him but I'm with the Timbers now and delighted to be playing for them. That's my team now and that's where my focus lies.

"My first choice is to play for a west coast team in MLS but really, just whoever needs a wide midfielder," he [Guy] concluded. "I know this is going to be a long process but my immediate goal is to play in MLS and my lofty goal is to catch the eyes of the national team which I think can help me meet my long-term goal of playing for one of the main European clubs."
